2013 Honda Accord: Redesign and Hybrid

The Accord is Honda's top-selling model in the United States, for various reasons. Among them is certainly the car's low ownership cost and its extreme reliability. But for Schaller Honda, in New Britain, we believe the main reason underneath the Accord's large success is way more than just a sleek, sophisticated surface, there's a whole lot of substance beneath. So looking ahead for the 2013 model, drivers can expect that attention to detail, frill-free, chic sensibility and ever more athletic and aggressive design that the Accord is famous for.
A perfect example of this can be seen in the Honda Accord's reengineered engines. Later this year, drivers will be able to choose between 2 all-new Earth Dreams engines: a 2.4 liter, 4 cylinder and a 3.5 liters V6 (designed not only to optimize efficiency but also performance), as well as a plug-in hybrid powertrain. Featuring a new two-motor configuration and three unique drive modes, the new Honda Accord hybrid powertrain will delivers drivers greater convenience, less stress and better fuel economy.
The new Accord Hybrid is not in production, but the concept car already delivers a top speed of 62 mpg, a pure-electric range of 10-15 miles and a charge time of as little as 1.5 hours using a 220-Volt outlet. The production model is bound to be better. We expect these 2013 Honda models to hit the showroom this fall.
