This coming new year is no ordinary year, it is a leap year. And as everyone should know, in the Gregorian calendar we follow in this country, this means adding an extra day, to the month of February. And for Honda lovers, this coming February 29th could be quite extraordinary.

Honda has designed a special contest to celebrate the "extra" leap day. The grand prize giveaway will be a new Honda CR-V CUV coupled with a 12-month supply of gas. In addition, there are 9 more opportunities to win REI gift cards of 1,000.00 dollars each.

Here is what you need to do to participate: first make sure you are eligible by reading all of the official rules at http://automobiles.honda.com/leap-list/contest/. Then, you just have to make your Leap List, which essentially consists of 10 itemized to-dos and that you'd like to accomplish before taking the next big leap in your life. Among the top items featured on participants' Leap Lists are: buy a house, travel to Europe,  start my own business, learn a new language, live abroad, go sky diving, get married, run a half marathon, ... But, don't worry, these are just examples. You can either pick from this list or create your own list.

To be eligible, your entry must be received by February 29. A collective of Honda panelists will assess lists, including accomplishments and updates and decide on 50 finalists.
