2017 Honda Accord Sedan For Sale at Hartford Honda Dealers
The Honda Accord has always been high on the list of America’s most-popular vehicles. Hartford Honda Dealers agree that the Accord’s ample cabin space, excellent fuel efficiency, and appealing driving experience makes it the vehicle of choice for every car shopper looking for a midsize family sedan.
The 2017 Honda Accord is available in coupe and sedan body styles. We’ll be reviewing the Accord sedan here. Accord sedans are offered in no less than seven trim levels: LX, Sport, Sport Special Edition, EX EX-L, EX-L V6 and Touring. Honda Sensing, a collection of advanced safety technologies, are standard on Touring and optional on the other trims.
The Honda Accord sedan is found at all Hartford Honda dealers. The base engine is a 2.4-liter inline-4 with direct-injection technology that makes 185 horsepower and 181 lb.-ft. of torque. The Sport trim utilizes a dual exhaust system to raise the ponies to 189 hp, with 182 lb.-ft. of torque. This block can be mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox or a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Some trim levels can get a 3.5-liter V-6, teamed with a six-speed automatic transmission.
EPA-estimated fuel economy for the Accord sedan with the four-cylinder engine and the CVT is rated at 27 mpg city/36 mpg highway. With the V-6, the Accord sedan gets 21 mpg city/33 mpg highway.*
Here’s what Kelley Blue Book wrote about the Accord’s performance: “The bread-and-butter 4-cylinder Accord with an automatic transmission finely balances the comfort/agility equation while offering one of the best continuously variable transmissions (CVT) in the business. V6-powered sedans and coupes are surprisingly quick, and the larger engine boasts deep power reserves. The few buyers who opt for a manual transmission will be rewarded with crisp, easy shifts.”
Inside, the 2017 Accord features an enhanced touchscreen interface, which is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Plugging in an iPhone or Android mobile phone displays an interface like the one on your phone.
Available on nearly all models with the CVT and standard on Touring trims is the Honda Sensing suite of driver assist safety features. Honda Sensing includes adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning (gets the car back in its lane if the driver veers) and automatic emergency braking
It’s probably no surprise the 2017 Honda Accord sedan has a stellar safety score in crash tests, with the top rating of Good in all IIHS tests, which led to the Accord being named a Top Safety Pick+ model. In NHTSA tests, the Accord received the highest overall rating of five stars.
The question remains: How does the Accord sedan drive? The Accord sedan is the perfect vehicle to use as a daily driver, getting back and forth to work, and taking the kids to school. Its excellent cushioned suspension will make sure you drive in comfort wherever you go.
